The Jordan-Matthews Jets held off the host Chatham Central Bears football team by a final score of 30-26 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Jordan-Matthews improves its record to 1-3 on the season. The Jets host Northwood (Pittsboro, NC) to confront the Chargers in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina outing on Friday, September 15. The Chargers go into the outing with a record of 2-2. Northwood won 55-9 in their recent league outing against Southeast Alamance (Haw River, NC)

With the loss, Chatham Central moves to 0-4 on the season. The Bears host Bartlett Yancey (Yanceyville, NC) to confront the Buccaneers in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina outing on Friday, September 15.
