Illinois High School Soccer - Moline knocks off Pekin
September 8, 2023: Pekin, IL 61554 Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Maroons confront the Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL) in a Western Big 6 challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. Moline will attempt to move on its 7-0 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to O'Fallon (O'Fallon, IL).
The Dragons now possess a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host Morton for a Mid-Illini challenge on Tuesday, September 12. Pekin will confront a Potters team coming off a 0-0 non-league Richwoods (Peoria, IL). The Potters record now stands at 5-1.
