Georgia High School Softball - Cairo bounces Valdosta
September 8, 2025: Valdosta, GA 31602 Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Valdosta Wildcats (Valdosta, GA), 10-4 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Cairo improves its record to 7-6 on the year. The Syrupmakers travel to Bainbridge (Bainbridge, GA) to face the Bearcats in a 3A Region 1 game on Thursday, September 11. The Bearcats enter the game with a record of 6-10. Bainbridge lost 22-10 in their recent league game against Peach County (Fort Valley, GA)
The Wildcats now hold a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they host Colquitt County for a 6A Region 1 match on Tuesday, September 9. Valdosta will battle a Packers team coming off a 10-4 non-league win over McIntosh (Peachtree City, GA). The Packers record now stands at 6-10.
