North Carolina High School Football - Mount Pleasant held off by Northwest Cabarrus
September 9, 2022: Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124 In Friday's non-league game, the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) football team got by the host Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC), by a score of 24-17.
The Trojans (3-1) will now prepare for their game against South Rowan (China Grove, NC). The Raiders come into the 3A West Conference 48 game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, South Rowan was tipped by Salisbury (Salisbury, NC), 41-0, in a non-league game.
The Tigers now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Anson for a non-league game on Friday, September 16. Mount Pleasant will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 21-14 non-league win over Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 3-1.
