Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), 34-28 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Mount Pleasant improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Tigers host West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to battle the Colts in a non-league test on Friday, September 2. The Colts come into the test with a record of 2-0. West Stanly won 18-6 in their recent non-league test against Albemarle (Albemarle, NC)

With the loss, Carson drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to South Stanly (Norwood, NC) to battle the Rowdy Rebel Bulls in a non-league test on Friday, September 2. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls come into the test with a record of 0-2. South Stanly lost 49-13 in their recent non-league test against Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC)
