September 9, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87110 La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) followers went home pleased Tuesday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM), 36-8 in a non-league battle.
With the win, La Cueva advances its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league match on Tuesday, September 16. The Jaguars come into the match with a record of 0-3. Atrisco Heritage Academy lost 38-0 in their recent non-league match against Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM)
Coming up next, the Matadors confront the Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, September 17. Sandia will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record.
