The Mountain City Christian Academy Lions edged the host Houston Hawks volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league game.

Next up, the Lions face the Kenai Central Kardinals (Kenai, AK) in a 3A Southcentral game, on Friday, September 12. Mountain City Christian Academy will attempt to advance on its 8-4 season record. The Kardinals go into the game with a 3-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Palmer (Palmer, AK).

The Hawks (6-10) will now prepare for their game against Grace Christian (Anchorage, AK). The Grizzlies go into the 3A Southcentral game with a 10-6 record.
