The Houston Hawks volleyball squad (Big Lake, AK), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Mountain City Christian Academy Lions (Anchorage, AK)

With the win, Mountain City Christian Academy improves its record to 7-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Homer (Homer, AK) to encounter the Mariners in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 30. The Mariners go into the battle with a record of 3-0. Homer won 1-0 in their recent non-league battle against Bethel (Bethel, AK)
