September 9, 2025: Solon, IA 52333 The Solon Spartans were victorious over the visiting Mt. Vernon Mustangs volleyball team by a margin of 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
The Spartans now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to Vinton-Shellsburg for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 11. Solon will clash with a Vikings team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Grinnell (Grinnell, IA). The Vikings record now stands at 1-7.
With the loss, Mt. Vernon drops to 6-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs host West Delaware (Manchester, IA) to clash with the Hawks in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 16. The Hawks come into the outing with a record of 11-1.
