The Freeburg Midgets volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Centralia Orphans to 0 in the Midgets non-league victory on Saturday.

The Midgets now have a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Breese Central for a Cahokia (Mississippi Division) game on Thursday, September 15. Freeburg will meet a Cougars team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Columbia (Columbia, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 7-4.

The Orphans (7-5) will now prepare for their game against Carbondale (Carbondale, IL). The Terriers enter the South Seven game with a 5-8 record. In their last game, Carbondale dropped by Herrin (Herrin, IL), 2-0, in a non-league game.
