September 11, 2023: Kewanee, IL 61443 The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL) and the visiting Princeville Princes (Princeville, IL), saw Wethersfield's volleyball squad beat Princeville by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Wethersfield upgrades its record to 8-2 on the year. The Flying Geese travel to Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL) to play the Spartans in a Lincoln Trail bout on Wednesday, September 13. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 2-10. Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] lost 2-1 in their recent league bout against Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL)
The Princes now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they host Mercer County for a Lincoln Trail bout on Thursday, September 14. Princeville will play a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Orion (Orion, IL). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 3-8.
