August 26, 2023: Kewanee, IL 61443 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL) and the visiting Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL), saw Wethersfield's volleyball squad beat Bureau Valley by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Wethersfield upgrades its record to 5-1 on the year. The Flying Geese host Orion (Orion, IL) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 26. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Orion won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL)
The Storm now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Mendota for a Three Rivers bout on Tuesday, August 29. Bureau Valley will play a Trojans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Amboy/LaMoille/Ohio (Amboy, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 2-1.
