McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA) followers went home in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their flag football team achieve victory over the visiting Sonora Wildcats (Sonora, CA), 33-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, McClatchy advances its record to 10-0 on the season. The Lions travel to Cosumnes Oaks (Elk Grove, CA) to play the Wolfpack in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 12. The Wolfpack go into the battle with a record of 4-1. Cosumnes Oaks won 19-18 in their recent league battle against Monterey Trail (Elk Grove, CA)

The Wildcats now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Buhach Colony for a non-league battle on Friday, September 13. Sonora will play a Thunder team coming off a 29-12 non-league win over Torres (Madera, CA). The Thunder record now stands at 4-4.
