The St. Joseph Flyers football squad scored 35 points and limited the host Mathis Pirates to 20 in the Flyers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Flyers now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Sacred Heart for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 19. St. Joseph will face a Indians team coming off a 52-8 non-league win over Louise (Louise, TX). The Indians record now stands at 3-2.

The Pirates (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Goliad (Goliad, TX). The Tigers go into the 3A-1 Region IV District 15 challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Goliad toppled Industrial (Vanderbilt, TX), 21-14, in a non-league challenge.
