Delaware High School Soccer - Mount Pleasant toppled by Newark
September 12, 2024: Newark, DE 19711 Newark Yellowjackets (Newark, DE) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Mount Pleasant Green Knights (Wilmington, DE), 7-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Newark advances its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Odessa (Townsend, DE) to clash with the Ducks in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 17. The Ducks come into the test with a record of 1-1. Odessa won 8-0 in their recent non-league test against First State Military Academy (Clayton, DE)
The Green Knights now have a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host St. Georges Tech for a Blue Hen - Flight A test on Tuesday, September 17. Mount Pleasant will clash with a Hawks team coming off a 8-1 non-league win over McKean (Wilmington, DE). The Hawks record now stands at 3-0.
