Georgia High School Volleyball - Dawson County tips Banks County

September 12, 2024: Homer, GA 30547

Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Dawson County Tigers (Dawsonville, GA) and the host Banks County Leopards (Homer, GA), observed Dawson County's volleyball team hold off Banks County by a count of 2-1.

The Tigers (10-16) will now prepare for their contest against Pickens (Jasper, GA). The Dragons enter the 3A Area 6 contest with a 16-11 record. In their last contest, Pickens was tipped by Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Leopards battle the Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 17. Banks County will attempt to move on its 13-13 season record. The Bears enter the contest with a 18-14 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Lakeview Academy (Gainesville, GA).
