Texas High School Football - Permian defeats Abilene

September 12, 2025: Abilene, TX 79603

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Permian Panthers (Odessa, TX) and the host Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX), witnessed Permian's football squad topple Abilene by a tally of 38-21.

The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Tascosa (Amarillo, TX). The Rebels go into the non-league bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Tascosa was topped by Lubbock-Cooper (Lubbock, TX), 20-14, in a non-league bout.

The Eagles now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Midland Legacy for a non-league bout on Friday, September 19. Abilene will encounter a Rebels team coming off a 59-13 non-league loss to Lake Travis (Austin, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 0-3.
