The St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans overwhelmed the host Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts football squad by a count of 51-16 in Friday's league test.

The Spartans now hold a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Tolono Unity for a Illini Prairie test on Friday, September 19. St. Joseph-Ogden will meet a Rockets squad coming off a 34-27 league loss to Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, Illinois Valley Central drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Grey ghosts travel to Pontiac (Pontiac, IL) to meet the Indians in a Illini Prairie test on Friday, September 19. The Indians go into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Pontiac lost 48-22 in their recent league challenge against Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL)
