In Friday's league game, the Marion Wildcats (Marion, IL) football team triumphed over the visiting Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL), by a tally of 56-21.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 19. Marion will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record.
