The Sandy Creek Patriots (Tyrone, GA) football trounced the host Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA), 42-7 in Friday's league outing.

The Patriots now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Trinity Christian for a AAA Region 2 contest on Friday, September 19. Sandy Creek will battle a Lions squad coming off a 27-0 league win over Spalding (Griffin, GA). The Lions record now stands at 2-2.

Coming up next, the Knights battle the Whitewater Wildcats (Fayetteville, GA) in a AAA Region 2 contest, on Friday, September 19. Upson-Lee will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 1-2 record after their 44-7 league loss to Troup County (LaGrange, GA).
