Trimble Tomcats (Glouster, OH) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Wellston Golden Rockets (Wellston, OH), 40-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Trimble advances its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Tomcats host Shenandoah (Sarahsville, OH) to confront the Zeps in a non-league match on Friday, September 19. The Zeps come into the match with a record of 1-3. Shenandoah won 28-8 in their recent non-league match against Buckeye Trail (Lore City, OH)

Coming up next, the Golden Rockets confront the Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH) in a Tri-Valley - Ohio match, on Friday, September 19. Wellston will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Spartans come into the match with a 2-2 record after their 71-0 league loss to Athens (The Plains, OH).
