September 12, 2025: Morro Bay, CA 93442 El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Morro Bay Pirates (Morro Bay, CA), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, El Capitan improves its record to 14-7 on the season. The Vaqueros host Clairemont (San Diego, CA) to meet the Chieftains in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 12. The Chieftains come into the challenge with a record of 8-9. Clairemont lost 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Hilltop (Chula Vista, CA)
Next, the Pirates meet the Victory Christian Academy Knights (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 13. Morro Bay will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Knights go into the test with a 5-12 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Southwest SD (San Diego, CA).
