September 12, 2025: San Pedro, CA 90731 Torrance Tartars (Torrance, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host San Pedro Pirates (San Pedro, CA), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Torrance improves its record to 7-9 on the season. The Tartars host St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA) to face the Warriors in a non-league test on Friday, September 12. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 6-6. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy won 3-0 in their recent league test against St. Bernard (Playa del Rey, CA)
The Pirates now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to Warren for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 13. San Pedro will meet a Bears team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Downey (Downey, CA). The Bears record now stands at 6-5.
