In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host St. Thomas More Sabers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Watseka Warriors.

The Sabers (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL). The Spartans come into the Illini Prairie battle with a 9-4 record. In their last battle, St. Joseph-Ogden achieved victory over Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Warriors encounter the Oakwood Comets (Fithian, IL) in a Vermilion Valley battle, on Thursday, September 15. Watseka will attempt to advance on its 5-6 season record. The Comets come into the battle with a 2-7 record after their 2-0 league loss to Armstrong (Armstrong, IL).
