The First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) volleyball held off the visiting Catholic Crusaders (Virginia Beach, VA), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Nighthawks now possess a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Currituck County for a non-league match on Saturday, September 13. First Flight will battle a Knights squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC). The Knights record now stands at 1-8.

The Crusaders (9-7) will now prepare for their match against Veritas School (Richmond, VA). The Lions enter the non-league match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Veritas School held off Hampton Roads Academy (Newport News, VA), 3-0, in a league match.
