The First Flight Nighthawks volleyball squad (Kill Devil Hills, NC), was edged 3-2 in Thursday's league battle with the host Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC)

With the win, Currituck County improves its record to 8-11 on the season. The Knights travel to Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC) to encounter the Eagles in a Northeastern Coastal 3A/4A/5A battle on Tuesday, September 30. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 5-10. Northeastern won 3-0 in their recent league battle against Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC)

The Nighthawks now own a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Martin County for a Northeastern Coastal 3A/4A/5A battle on Tuesday, September 30. First Flight will meet a Gators team coming off a 3-1 league win over Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC). The Gators record now stands at 9-4.
