Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC) and the host Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC), observed Perquimans's volleyball team top Currituck County by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Perquimans improves its record to 9-0 on the season. The Pirates host Gates County (Gatesville, NC) to encounter the Red Barons in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. The Red Barons go into the test with a record of 10-0. Gates County won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Martin County (Williamston, NC)

The Knights now own a 0-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host StoneBridge for a non-league test on Monday, September 8. Currituck County will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Fredericksburg Christian (Fredericksburg, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 15-0.
