Fans at Thursday's league contest between the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) and the visiting Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC), observed First Flight's volleyball team top Northeastern by a count of 3-0.

The Nighthawks (10-10) will now prepare for their contest against Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech (Elizabeth City, NC). The Griffins enter the non-league contest with a 9-13 record. In their last contest, Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech was knocked off by Lawrence Academy (Merry Hill, NC), 3-2, in a non-league contest.
