The East Mecklenburg Eagles football team (Charlotte, NC), was knocked off 37-27 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC)

The Ravens (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars come into the Southwestern 4A challenge with a 4-1 record.

The Eagles now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Garinger for a Southwestern 4A challenge on Friday, September 22. East Mecklenburg will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 70-0 league loss to Butler (Matthews, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-5.
