North Carolina High School Football - Independence trounces Rocky River

October 20, 2023: Charlotte, NC 28227

In Friday's league match, the host Independence Patriots football squad scored a big 56-7 victory over the Rocky River Ravens.

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) in a Southwestern 4A match, on Friday, October 27. Independence will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 8-1 record after their 24-21 league win over Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC).

The Ravens (2-7) will now prepare for their match against Garinger (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats enter the Southwestern 4A match with a 0-9 record. In their last match, Garinger was crushed by Providence (Charlotte, NC), 77-12, in a league match.
