North Carolina High School Football - Butler nipped by Independence

The Independence Patriots held off the host Butler Bulldogs football team by a count of 10-7 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Patriots travel to Weddington (Matthews, NC) to encounter the Warriors in a non-league outing on Friday, December 1. The Warriors go into the outing with a record of 12-2. Weddington won 44-27 in their recent non-league outing against Grimsley (Greensboro, NC)

With the loss, Butler moves to 12-2 on the season.
