Georgia High School Softball - Commerce knocked off by Lumpkin County
September 14, 2024: Dahlonega, GA 30533 In Saturday's non-league test, the Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Commerce Tigers (Commerce, GA), by a tally of 9-1.
Next, the Indians meet the White County Warriors (Cleveland, GA) in a 3A Region 6 test, on Monday, September 16. Lumpkin County will attempt to advance on its 14-7 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 10-8 record after their 3-1 league loss to Pickens (Jasper, GA).
The Tigers (5-13) will now prepare for their test against Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA). The Patriots go into the 1A D-I Region 8 test with a 12-5 record. In their last test, Oglethorpe County toppled Gainesville (Gainesville, GA), 17-0, in a non-league test.
