September 14, 2024: Harvey, IL 60426 Bloom Blazing Trojan (Chicago Heights, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Bloom improves its record to 5-6 on the season. The Blazing Trojan host Thornwood (South Holland, IL) to face the Thunderbirds in a Southland test on Monday, September 16. The Thunderbirds go into the test with a record of 4-3. Thornwood lost 2-1 in their recent league test against Crete-Monee (Crete, IL)
The Wildcats now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kankakee for a Southland test on Tuesday, September 17. Thornton will face a Kays squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Thornridge (Dolton, IL). The Kays record now stands at 3-8.
