September 14, 2024: Newton, NC 28658 The Foard Tigers volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Mountain Island Charter Raptors to 0 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Tigers now have a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Bandys for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 14. Foard will play a Trojans team coming off a 3-0 league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 7-5.
With the loss, Mountain Island Charter drops to 3-11 on the campaign. The Raptors host Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC) to play the Eagles in a Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A outing on Tuesday, September 17. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 7-7. Lincoln Charter lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Christ the King (Huntersville, NC)
