In Monday's non-league match, the host Central Chargers softball team scored a tight 11-6 win over the Howard Huskies .

The Chargers (8-7) will now prepare for their match against Dodge County (Eastman, GA). The Indians come into the 1A D-I Region 2 match with a 4-9 record. In their last game, Dodge County was routed by Bleckley County (Cochran, GA), 5-3, in a league game.

The Huskies now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they host Academy of Richmond County for a 3A Region 4 game on Tuesday, September 16. Howard will play a Musketeers squad coming off a 13-0 league loss to Cross Creek (Augusta, GA). The Musketeers record now stands at 2-5.
