The Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC) football defeated the host Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC), 35-21 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Bears face the Pasquotank County Panthers (Elizabeth City, NC) in a 2A/3A East Conference 15 bout, on Friday, September 23. Hertford County will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 49-12 league loss to Camden County (Camden, NC).

The Knights (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Camden County (Camden, NC). The Bruins enter the 2A/3A East Conference 15 bout with a 4-0 record. In their last bout, Camden County defeated Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC), 49-12, in a league bout.
