September 16, 2025: Vandalia, IL 62471 Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL), 9-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Hillsboro moves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Hiltoppers host Greenville (Greenville, IL) to clash with the Comets in a South Central test on Thursday, September 18. The Comets come into the test with a record of 1-9. Greenville lost 6-0 in their recent non-league test against Carlyle (Carlyle, IL)
The Vandals now sport a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Mac for a South Central outing on Thursday, September 18. Vandalia will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Staunton (Staunton, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 1-10.
