The Sun Valley Spartans football team (Monroe, NC), was ripped 60-21 in Friday's non-league match with the visiting Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC)

In their next game, the Redhawks clash with the Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) in a 2A/3A West Conference 44 match, on Friday, October 1. Monroe will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record.

The Spartans (0-4) will now prepare for their match against Central (Pageland, SC). The Eagles enter the non-league match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Central was crushed by Lancaster (Lancaster, SC), 28-0, in a non-league match.
