In Tuesday's league match, the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) volleyball squad prevailed the visiting Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Mavericks battle the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a Southern Carolina 4A match, on Thursday, September 19. Marvin Ridge will attempt to move on its 18-3 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 14-4 record after their 3-2 league win over Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC).
