September 18, 2024: Clearwater, FL 33764 The Clearwater Tornadoes football squad scored 22 points and limited the visiting Tarpon Springs Spongers to 13 in the Tornadoes league triumph on Wednesday.
The Tornadoes now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Palm Harbor University for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 25. Clearwater will meet a Hurricanes squad coming off a 24-13 non-league loss to Pinellas Park (Largo, FL). The Hurricanes record now stands at 2-2.
With the defeat, Tarpon Springs drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Spongers host Countryside (Clearwater, FL) to meet the Cougars in a test on Wednesday, September 25. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 0-3. Countryside lost 1-0 in their recent league test against East Lake (Tarpon Springs, FL)
