Kentucky High School Volleyball - Bourbon County bounced by Sayre
September 18, 2025: Paris, KY 40361 Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Sayre improves its record to 12-2 on the season. The Spartans host Paris (Paris, KY) to face the Greyhounds in a non-league test on Saturday, September 20. The Greyhounds go into the test with a record of 3-6. Paris lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, KY)
The Colonels now own a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host George Rogers Clark for a District 40 test on Tuesday, September 23. Bourbon County will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Marion County (Lebanon, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 14-5.
