August 30, 2025: Lexington, KY 40507 The Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY) volleyball held off the host Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Red Devils now possess a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Blazer for a non-league match on Saturday, August 30. Russell will battle a Tomcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Rowan County (Morehead, KY). The Tomcats record now stands at 5-0.
The Spartans (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Golden Eagles enter the non-league match with a 3-2 record.
