In Thursday's league bout, the Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) volleyball team knocked off the visiting New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), by a margin of 3-0.

The Marauders now possess a 14-2 record. They play next when they travel to Zionsville for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 20. Mt. Vernon will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 league win over Noblesville (Noblesville, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 13-6.

With the loss, New Castle drops to 12-4 on the campaign. The Trojans host Fishers (Fishers, IN) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 20. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 10-6. Fishers lost 3-1 in their recent league match against Brownsburg (Brownsburg, IN)
