North Carolina High School Football - Currituck County thwarted by Hertford County
September 19, 2024: Ahoskie, NC 27910 Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC), 14-6 in a league battle.
With the win, Hertford County advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Bears host Riverside-Martin (Williamston, NC) to play the Knights in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 26. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Riverside-Martin won 34-8 in their recent non-league battle against Southside (Chocowinity, NC)
The Knights now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Northside - Pinetown for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 26. Currituck County will play a Panthers team coming off a 52-8 non-league win over Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 2-2.
