In Friday's league match, the host Red Bud Musketeers football squad scored a close 25-20 triumph over the Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians.

The Musketeers (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Sparta/Steeleville (Sparta, IL). The Bulldogs come into the Cahokia - Illinois match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Sparta/Steeleville was nudged by Chester (Chester, IL), 28-0, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Indians/Lady Indians confront the Dupo Tigers (Dupo, IL) in a Cahokia - Illinois match, on Friday, September 26. Carlyle will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 4-0 record after their 20-13 league win over Wesclin (Trenton, IL).
