Mississippi High School Football - Columbus can't hold off Meridian
September 19, 2025: Columbus, MS 39702 The Meridian Wildcats got by the host Columbus Falcons football squad by a count of 21-18 in Friday's non-league test.
The Wildcats now hold a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hattiesburg for a non-league test on Friday, September 26. Meridian will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 23-6 non-league win over Biloxi (Biloxi, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 2-2.
The Falcons (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS). The Rockets go into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Neshoba Central was edged by Germantown (Madison, MS), 49-28, in a non-league challenge.
