In Friday's league game, the Murphysboro Red Devils (Murphysboro, IL) football team overcame the visiting Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL), by a tally of 35-21.

In their next game, the Red Devils battle the Herrin Tigers (Herrin, IL) in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio game, on Friday, September 26.
