September 19, 2025: Modesto, CA 95356 River Islands Riptide (Lathrop, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Big Valley Christian Lions (Modesto, CA), 40-38 in a league battle.
With the win, River Islands improves its record to 1-4 on the season. The Riptide host Calaveras (San Andreas, CA) to play the Red Hawks in a battle on Friday, September 26. The Red Hawks go into the battle with a record of 2-2. Calaveras won 20-0 in their recent league test against Riverbank (Riverbank, CA)
With the defeat, Big Valley Christian drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Linden (Linden, CA) to meet the Lions in a test on Friday, September 26. The Lions come into the test with a record of 1-3. Linden won 57-0 in their recent non-league test against Denair (Denair, CA)
