September 20, 2022: Cherokee, NC 28719 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) and the host Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC), saw Murphy's volleyball squad nip Cherokee by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Murphy upgrades its record to 4-3 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Monday, September 26. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-10. Hiwassee Dam lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Cherokee (Cherokee, NC)
The Braves now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Pisgah for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 21. Cherokee will play a Bears squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Bears record now stands at 10-3.
