In Friday's league match, the visiting Linganore Lancers football squad scored a good 49-21 victory over the Walkersville Lions.

The Lancers (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Oakdale (Ijamsville, MD). The enter the Central Maryland match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Oakdale thwarted Frederick (Frederick, MD), 41-40, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Lions confront the Westminster Owls (Westminster, MD) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 27. Walkersville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Owls enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 20-6 league win over South Carroll (Sykesville, MD).
